ALABAMA ATHLETICS LISTS 16 MINOR NCAA VIOLATIONS OVER HOLIDAY WEEKEND

University Of Alabama

As is tradition, Alabama athletics released its secondary NCAA violations for the past school year over the Fourth of July weekend.

The list consists of 16 violations posted on the compliance page at rolltide.com.

Most of the infractions involved recruiting from Alabama’s various athletic teams. Only two violations were reported from the football program.

Infractions include football and basketball coaches getting in touch with players outside of permissible contact periods as well as the softball team posting a Twitter thread of new uniforms with the apparel company’s account tagged.

Corrective actions were taken to fix each infraction.

This year’s list of infractions is slightly longer than last year’s list of 13 minor violations. But Alabama is still improving from 2017 when it racked up 22 total violations, including nine from the football program.
