ADOPT A GOLDEN BIRMINGHAM

It’s called, the Turkey dog rescue. Adopt A Golden Birmingham teamed up with their sister organization in Atlanta to fly in 24 golden retrievers from Istanbul, Turkey. Six of those dogs will be brought back to Birmingham for families the who’ve already adopted them.

For a while, it was a status symbol to own golden retriever in Istanbul but when everyone started to own them, it quickly faded. Now, thousands of dogs roam the streets without a home.
