GADSDEN, Ala. (AP) – Etowah County authorities have arrested seven men after a 15-month investigation into what they say is an organized methamphetamine distribution ring.

Sheriff Todd Entrekin said the men were arrested over the last three months. He said the men picked up their drugs from the Atlanta metro area and brought them to Etowah County to sell.

The men arrested were 37-year-old Harold Dewayne Deal Jr., 43-year-old Billy Donald Deal Jr., 65-year-old Thomas Edgar Ramey, 33-year-old Richard Wendell Edmonson II, 26-year-old Nathan Michael McMahan, 56-year-old Roy Claude Farlow Jr. and 41-year-old Jeffrey Lewis Frohock.

Each man is charged with drug trafficking. Some have other charges such as possession of drug paraphernalia.

It’s unclear if any of the men have attorneys.
