POLICE SEARCH FOR BLACK HONDA AFTER 6-YEAR-OLD HIT BY CAR

TUSCALOOSA – Police are searching for a black Honda after a 6-year-old was hit Wednesday morning.

According to Tuscaloosa Police’s Capt. Brad Mason it happened around 7:40 a.m. at a school bus stop on the 4700 block of 1st Street East. Capt. Mason said the vehicle swerved around a stopped bus with its signals flashing and struck a 6-year-old that was attempting to get on the bus. The suspect then left the scene without stopping.

The child sustained minor injuries and was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Police are now searching for the black Honda, or information that could lead them to the driver. Call the Tuscaloosa Police Department at (205) 349-2121 if you can help locate the suspect.
