5 WOMEN ARRESTED, TEEN FOUND IN TUSCALOOSA PROSTITUTION STING

Five women were arrested and an underage teen was found Wednesday during a prostitution sting performed by the Tuscaloosa Police Department and the IRS.

Officers said they identified persons of interest from the Internet on pages used to solicit prostitution, and several arrests were made at several local hotels.

Police said that during their investigation, they found a 17-year-old girl, who was removed from the situation but not arrested. An investigation is continuing into the circumstances of her being involved in prostitution.

Arrested were:

  • April Dawn Stephens, 38, from Arkansas, charged with solicitation
  • Kiana Marie Wilson, 19, from Birmingham, charged with solicitation
  • Donyelle Baugh, 30, from California, charged with solicitation
  • Jessica Lynette McCurdy, 28, from Gadsden, charged with human trafficking
  • Jessica Nicole Stanford, 21, from Gadsden, charged with promoting prostitution.
