5 KILLED IN SMALL PLANE CRASH IN LOUISIANA

Five people are killed and four others were injured in a small plane crash in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The crash happened Saturday morning after the two-engine Pipe Cheyenne went down about a mile from the Lafayette Regional Airport. One of the victims killed was 30-year-old sports reporter Carley McCord. McCord is also the daughter-in-law of LSU Offensive Coordinator Steve Ensminger.

The plane was on its way to the College Football Playoff semifinal in Atlanta between LSU and Oklahoma. The crash remains under investigation.
