3 MEN ARRESTED IN NORTHPORT BURGLARY CASE
Three men were arrested today in connection with an attempted burglary in Northport last week.
It happened Friday around noon, when Northport officers responded to the 3900 block of Edge Brook Street on a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, the victim said she located a black man, wearing all black, in her garage.
The victim said the suspect fled on foot and was picked up by another person in a vehicle. Police said the victim captured images of the suspect vehicle, which helped police later apprehend the suspect and his accomplices.
The men were arrested today and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, but police say the investigation is continuing because the suspects may be connected with other recent burglaries.
Arrested were:
Irish Hunter, 24, of Cottondale, who was charged with burglary and carrying a gun without a license.
Lorenzo Jones Jr., 20, of Tuscaloosa, who was charged with burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
Kevon Rembert, 21, of Tuscaloosa, who was charged with burglary.
