3 MEN ARRESTED IN HALE COUNTY FOR DRUG POSSESSION, MANUFACTURING

Three men were arrested today in Hale County, charged with drug possession and and unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance.

Agents and deputies executed a search warrant at the 20th block of 3rd Avenue North in Akron, where they discovered 24 marijuana plants, stolen handguns and dug paraphernalia.

A second search warrant was executed at the 90th block of 4th Avenue North in Akron, where marijuana, drug paraphernalia, stolen handguns and Xanax pills were seized.

Hayward Martin and Bertrum Davis, both of Akron, were taken to the Hale County Jail and have been charged.

A third search warrant was executed in Greensboro on the 90th block of Orchid Road. There, police seized nine marijuana plants, a stolen handgun and drug paraphernalia.

Ronnie Watkins of Greensboro was charged, arrested and transported to the Hale County Jail.
