Two shootings in Tuscaloosa over the weekend left two people injured and police investigating the crimes.

Creekwood Village Apartments

At around 1:30 a.m. on May 26, two men ages 21 and 22 were found with multiple gunshot wounds at Creekwood Village Apartments in West Tuscaloosa.

Investigators said the men were sitting inside a vehicle parked in front of one of the buildings when an unknown suspect began firing into the vehicle. Both were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center.

One of the men was transferred to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries. No suspects were taken into custody, and the investigation continues.

Hay Court Apartments

Moments later, while officers were still on the scene at Creekwood Village, they heard more gunfire.

Investigators said a 20-year-old woman reported someone shot into her Hay Court apartment on 21st Street, also in West Tuscaloosa. It’s not known if the shooting was related to the Creekwood Village shooting.
