2 ARRESTED IN COKER METH LAB BUST

Early this morning, the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force arrested two people on charges of manufacturing meth.

It happened in the 12000 block of Roberts Road in Coker after someone called in with a drug activity complaint.

Upon arrival agents said they smelled chemicals commonly associated with meth manufacturing and entered the residence.

Police said Dewey Coley, 38, ran out the back door of the home and attempted to flee the scene. Police said he also attempted to throw an active meth lab at narcotics agents, but that he was taken into custody.

Also arrested and charged with trafficking meth was Jennifer Roberts Taylor, 33.

Police said they seized 75 grams of methamphetamine oil, methamphetamine pipes, syringes and numerous items used in the manufacturing of meth.
