19-year-old facing child porn charges in Tuscaloosa

A Tuscaloosa man is facing felony child pornography charges in the wake of a West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force investigation.

Trevor Patton Crow, 19, was at first charged with marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and failure to affix a tax stamp after investigators searched a Tuscaloosa home on Tuesday. Once a forensic investigation of his phone was complete, he was also charged with 10 counts of possession of obscene matter containing visual depiction of someone younger than 17.

He is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $181,000 bond. More charges are expected.

The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force is made up of officers with Tuscaloosa Police Department, Northport Police Department and The University of Alabama Police Department. Agencies and organizations that assisted with this investigation include the Joint Electronic Crimes Task Force, Tuscaloosa Cyber Intelligence Unit, West Alabama Narcotics Task Force, and the Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
