Tuesday afternoon crash victim identified
Tuscaloosa Police have identified the 18-year-old who died Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Second Avenue and 15th Street.
He is Cianciolo Daniel Mauricio of Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed an 18-year-old man from Tuscaloosa Tuesday afternoon.
The victim’s sedan was struck by an oncoming pickup truck as he drove north from Second Avenue into the eastbound lanes of 15th Street. He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
TPD has not yet released the victim’s name.
The pickup’s driver had minor injuries.
TPD’s Traffic Homicide Unit responded to the wreck and closed a portion of 15th Street for several hours Tuesday.
An investigation into the cause of the wreck is ongoing.
