18-year-old facing capital murder charges in Monday Northport shooting

An 18-year-old is facing capital murder charges, a 16-year-old is dead and authorities are searching for more suspects in the wake of a shooting in Northport Monday afternoon.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit identified the victim early this morning as David Martin Jr. Martin was found around 3 p.m. Monday in the Valley Hills area of Northport, having been shot multiple times while inside his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital, but did not survive his injuries.

TVCU developed 18-year-old Ladamien Rogers-Wallace as a suspect, who was charged with capital murder, along with several other persons of interest. Rogers-Wallace was arrested and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on no bond.
