18 WHEELER OVERTURNS ON HIGHWAY 171
A early morning crash sent one person to the hospital just after 10 a.m. Sunday on Highway 171 near the 5-mile marker.
Authorities said the tanker was carrying a mixed load of gasoline and diesel fuel when it overturned.
It’s estimated several hundred gallons of fuel spilled, and the surrounding area was immediately evacuated.
The driver of the tanker had minor injuries, but the driver of the car was not injured.
State troopers said the cause of the crash is under investigation..
