TUSCALOOSA – The Women and Gender Resource Center of the University of Alabama hosted the 10th annual LUNAFEST Film Festival on Wednesday, March 30th.

LUNAFEST is a nationwide traveling film festival that serves as a fundraiser for breast cancer, as well as raising awareness about women’s issues.

The festival connects women, their stories and their causes through films directed by women.

“I really hope that they enjoy seeing some great films,” said Paige Miller, coordinator of the film festival in Tuscaloosa. “But also that they get some insight into women’s lives and know that they’re contributing to victim services, to breast cancer research and so just by showing up, people are helping out.”

All the films screened at this year’s festival can be found online at www.lunafest.org.
