1 in custody after Tuscaloosa County police chase

UPDATE:

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man arrested after a high-speed chase in Tuscaloosa County Monday morning.

Korey Patrick, 34, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, attempting to elude and possession of drug paraphernalia.

TCSO Deputy Jessica McDaniel said Patrick refused to stop during a pullover attempt, which led to the chase. At some point, the suspect leapt out of his vehicle while it was running. The suspect’s vehicle then struck a Northport Police officer’s vehicle, but no law enforcement officers were injured during in the incident.

One person is in custody after a high-speed chase this morning that ended at U.S. Highway 43 and Flatwoods Road in Northport.

The chase ended around 8 a.m. at the Hicks Pit Bar-B-Q location.
