1 DEAD, 2 INJURED IN THURSDAY HIGHWAY 69 CRASH
A 76-year-old woman was killed and two others were injured after a wreck on Highway 69 Thursday morning.
Nellie Patricia Pruett and Dorothy Michelle Caves Bell, 49, were both struck by a vehicle after it was struck by another vehicle driven by a 16-year-old.
Bell and the 16-year-old were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Alabama State Troopers said their preliminary investigation indicates the vehicles driven by Pruett and Bell were involved in a crash moments before, and both were outside their vehicles when they were struck.
The crash happened at 7:51 a.m. on Alabama Highway 69 near the 142 mile marker, less than a mile south of Tuscaloosa.
State Troopers said they’re still investigating the crash.
