1 dead, 3 injured in Reform New Year’s Eve stabbing

Reform Police are investigating after a Pickens County man was stabbed to death and several others were injured during a family gathering on New Year’s Eve.

Antonio Plott, 41, of Carrollton died in the wake of the stabbing, which happened around 9 p.m. during a dispute between several people.

Three other victims were hospitalized and treated for stab wounds, including a 34-year-old man who was airlifted to UAB Hospital, a 43-year-old woman who was taken by ambulance to DCH Regional Medical Center and a 60-year-old woman with less serious injuries who was taken to DCH via a private vehicle.

Investigators with the 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office and the Reform Police Department are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the stabbings.

Criminal charges have not yet been filed.
