1 dead, 2 injured in Tuscaloosa shooting Saturday evening

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating after a man was shot to death and two others were injured in a shooting Saturday evening in West Tuscaloosa.

The shooting happened in the 2500 block of 21st Street just before 10 p.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim shot to death and learned two other people had been taken to DCH Regional Medical Center after being shot.

Investigators identified the man who died as 29-year-old Charlie Lee Thomas.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting, and no suspects are in custody.
