1 arrested, 1 sought in May 5 Bent Tree shooting
A 21-year-old from Greene County is facing attempted murder charges and another suspect remains on the run in the wake of a shooting that happened last week at Bent Tree Apartments in Tuscaloosa.
Amyas Montel Mobley is accused of being involved in the May 5 shooting, in which one man was shot in the hip.
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is still searching for another suspect, who has not yet been named.
Investigators said they tracked Mobley down through surveillance video of the car he was driving during the shooting incident. Once they found the car, officers discovered shell casings inside that matched those from the scene of the shooting.
Mobley and the shooting victim had a history of disagreements, investigators said.
The victim is expected to survive.
